@Sebastian - what is your reasoning behind using APC props compared to carbon fiber?

    Hi Tyler ...
No specific preference reason at all ... when we purchased the parts to build our CS those were the props recommended at the time. I would like to try something else like the carbons or wooden (based on the feedback on this forum), but cost is an issue at the moment. Being based in South Africa the exchange rate for our currency is not great and our import duties are ridiculous. We have had great performance so far with the APC props so far (not knowing anything else ;)) but an alternate option is on our future 'got to buy this' shopping lists!

    If
If you go wood I highly suggest the Gemfan wood blades. They are very nice blades with only a bit of work on the hub to get balanced.

The Radians can handle it, no problem.
Not sure about the FF servos though. They might complain a bit.
Before they burn out, that is.

When I get home from vacation, I'll try the 5D with the Canon 600mm. As we say in the software business: "It should work."

You would probably need a brick to balance it ... :p

Looks like there is a good sized fingerprint on the lens on the right side, that's likely why it is blurry.

That's an interesting image. How far was the camera away from the Cinestar? The traces appear not to start until the copter's quite high -- is that just the "viewing angle" of the camera making it look like the town in the distances is being invaded by aliens?

That dark cliff/rock formation you see at the bottom of the picture just above the bushes is like 100 yards away and the cinestar wasnt even to that cliff...maybe 50-75 yards away. The heli also never went above 100 feet. It is kind of an optical illusion haha. I started the photo where you see the lights on the left side then climbed out of the picture, moved over and descended and then stopped the photo. Used bulb mode.
