Jeff, Having both....would you choose GH3 or FS100 for cinestar 8? Just trying to make a purchase decision....I have an F3 already... GH3/FS100 would be camB, for aerials mainly. Tks, Sylvio
Fantastic work, Tim! Might I offer a tiny critique? I noticed a few out-of-kilter white balances, which of course are super noticeable because of all the snow in these. I know the GH2's codec doesn't have a lot of latitude for monkeying with this, but given the beautiful footage and wonderful framing, it's a little distracting. Maybe it's just me. It usually is.
Thanks. Those different tones were done on purpose, sort of. Trying to differentiate each resort from another. Color correction still needs some work perhaps. But you're right, with the snow it does stand out.
As my friends in the recording industry used to say, "it's close enough for rock 'n roll, because they can't hear the difference anyway."
Nice work, Tim. And a special thanks because when I first met my wife in Toronto, the High Park Ski Club would organize trips to all of those resorts, so we would ski those runs. It was nice to see them again. And I still remember them handing out poncho blankets that you donned to get on the chair-lifts along with a record low temperature (with windchill) of -76F at the top of Stowe. Brutal. Ski for a minute, stop and check everyone's faces for frostbite. And we did it for fun? Thanks Andy
Our latest reel. Most of this was shot pre-Radian. Love to hear comments/critique from our peers. Thanks-
Here is a cool project we worked on last year! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/boritt/the-gettysburg-story
Thank you! I am realizing that i need to get a glidecam or something for the interior shots... my copter gives me smoother results then my hand-held does! Josh
Just use the gimbal by itself instead of a glide cam, and make the "million bee buzzing sound" while using it for effect =)
