Hi Jon, Xoar have exeptional performance, very good conception and light weight, easy to eqilibrate.i' m very happy with these props.
More performance than plastic props for sure...

    Best.

Marc, are you constantly tightening down the prop nut on the Zoars? I love zoars but I find myself constantly tightening down the prop mount bolt, I guess because of wood compression. I'm sometimes nervous about prop slippage with the zoars.

    Hi Howard,

I don 't have this problem of tightening but, i must say that I always check the tightness of the propeller before each day i use my CS. In France these propellers are used a lot and I have don't ever heard something about this problem, on the other hand, i know that some plastic propellers have broken on machines that carry heavy cameras and run motors with KV unsuitable but no, no problems with the XOAR ...
I mean XOAR Wood or Carbon...May be the best propellers actually...

Just installed the Radian controllers on my CineStar 6 - the below video shows the setup and initial test stability - and it seems that the factory default settings works well. Roll gain: 70 and tilt gain 110. Looking forward to the first real areal video recording.

    Setup;
    CineStar 6, CineStar gimbal 2-axis
    Mikrokopter electronics
Radian controllers (roll + tilt) (Jeti SBEC for 5V and 3S 1600mA LiPo)
    MK-3638 motors
    XOAR 13 x 6,5 prop
Graupner MX-20 for controlling CineStar flight
Graupner MX-12 for radian control and camera tilt
    Video; Sony CX760V
    Still; Canon EOS 550D
FPV + googles and 7" monitor
    Xbee communication to koptertool.
    Quadrocopter 6200 mA LiPo

2 day ago I was flying testing and training my prospect camera op in a nice quiet park suddenly 2 fire truck park near us and a big choper circle above us one fire official started to approach us, so I though man this is ridiculous they are coming to get us for flying in the FAA USA airspace, and they are deploying all their big toys for us little guys with a spider looking craft........hey not so fast they ask us to get out of the way because that big choper had to land in OUR park to pick up an accident victim.......sure no problem officer right away we move, latter I said to my camera op, Hey you know what, we where there firs with our copter, who do they think they are ....jaja......by the way having a rolling cart like a Magliner with the top and bottom trays is super great and convenient ... Craig: Could you expand a bit on "blew an ESC," please? Was it one of the Castle 50's?

    Andy.

Many months ago before I did my first Red Epic shoot I was doing Red test flights and one of the eight MK ESC's overheated and discontinued working. I'm no electronic wizard but the indicator light went red on the one esc and MK software indicated a BL error, replaced and all good, but in the last few months I have had 2 more MK esc's go "bad" and not always from pushing the motors and esc's like I did with the Red. Soooo, now that more clients are calling and wanting heavier cameras I've decided to upgrade to Castle ESC's and new motors using the www.abusemark.com 12c converter. I'm pretty happy with MK flight and navi board, also have a Hoverfly set-up, but wasn't too happy with the flight behavior I was getting. Did some test flights with new Castle 50amp esc's and old QC motors and feels pretty good. CS currently on the bench in pieces being re-built with new motors!
