We've been using the Connex on our rigs and honestly not happy... We played with all kinds of antenna's and even signal boosters and still not overly thrilled. Time for a change... We played with Teradek and I wasn't overly impressed (Basic setup). So, the question is, "IF" you could setup the best video downlink on your Alta, what would it be and how would you configure it with antenna's on Movi Pro and on land??? You know what? Lets make this a contest!!! Winner gets: . . . . . . . . . . . . Wait for it . . . . . . . . . . . . . . A thank you
Welcome to the forum. If it's not too much trouble, would you be kind enough to change your user name to your real first name and last name, please? The reasons for this (and how to do it) are explained here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/real-names.497/ Thanks Andy Forensic Software & sUAV / Drone Analyst : Photographer : Videographer : Pilot (Portland, Oregon, USA): Trees=2, Ground=1, Props=11. We use a Paralinx Tomahawk system with cloverleaf antennas on the TX and their panel antenna on the RX. We've had it solid out past 1km when we've been able to test it that far in the bush in Africa! We've been using it solidly for 3 years all over the world without any issues and it's taken a bit of a beating along the way!
I just picked up the Vaxis 1200ft wireless system. It has been nothing but reliable and has an insanely solid build quality. http://www.gmcine.com/index.php?route=product/vaxis&path=34 I only use it on the ground, but I assume it would work equally as well from the sky.
