I upgraded my firmware on my movi and not it's not connecting. App is expired and the app I downloaded from the app store says it is not compatible with my firmware on the movi. Any idea what is going on?

Adam what version number are you using on the MoVi and which GUI app? They need to be compatible with each. Latest MoVI app in Beta is Akira. Standard releases is 4.02. All are available on the main Freefly site under software.

Sorry, I need to clarify. I downloaded the latest firmware and beta app after I asked to join. Everything was working fine. I went to open my beta app on my iphone and it said that the App expired. It appears my beta app disappeared off my iphone and I downloaded the latest app from the app store. When I go to open the app and try to connect, it states it can not communicate with the firmware I have on the movi. The app I downloaded looks like the previous app before the Akira. So did the Akira app self expire on me?

I thought the 'Latest Movi App' in the App store is not compatible with the Beta software. You needed to request the Test Flight program from Freefly by going to this page, clicking on the iOS v2.0 link, and typing in your info:

    http://freeflysystems.com/software-manuals/beta/software-by-product

Or maybe you tried that emailed link and something expired?

  6. As with all past firmware updates/releases, when you install a new version of the MoVI firmware, in order to communicate with the newer MoVI firmware, you will need to make sure you have an updated version of the MoVI app as well. MoVI App version 1.63 is not compatible with FW 5.0 BETA.

**IMPORTANT:** Please download and read all the available [release notes](http://d27w8s76bjlz9v.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/08181024/Akira-Beta-Manual.pdf) prior to installing or using the BETA firmware.

As per the FW 5.0 release notes, you will need to install app version that is compatible to the new version [here](http://freeflysystems.com/software-manuals/beta)

The FW 5.0 BETA (Akira) user manual can also be found [here](http://d27w8s76bjlz9v.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/08181024/Akira-Beta-Manual.pdf)

Software downloads by product/device can be found [here](http://freeflysystems.com/software-manuals/beta/software-by-product)

It is under the MoVI APPS section of that link.

The only way to take advantage of the iOS (not Mac OS) version of the app, is to have the [MōVI Wi-Fi Adapter](http://store.freeflysystems.com/collections/movi/products/movi-wifi-adapter)

**The purpose of the Freefly Systems Beta Release is to test the software before Final Release. Problems found during the Beta Release should be reported to Freefly Systems via support@freeflysystems.com for review. You may participate in the Freefly Systems Beta Release testing by downloading the software and using it, however, you recognize that the software is of pre-release quality and using Beta software for production work is done so wholly at your own risk. The software furnished by Freefly Systems for this Beta release are provided "as is." Freefly Systems makes no warranty with respect to the software and shall have no liability to participant(s).**

Okay I think I figured what I did wrong. I wasn't opening the TestFlight App. I was opening the Movi App instead. I hadn't used it in a while so I got confused what app. When I open the TestFlight App, it takes me to the this screen and I have to click on open. The test flight opens and connects fine. Am I suppose to be seeing this screen first when I connect to the app?

Adam: Yeah....that's just the Testflight app itself -- which is a means for "back-dooring" applications out to beta testers before they're placed on the App. Store. Just tape on OPEN to open up the FF app itself.

    Andy.
