Is there anyway to reset the M10 without the app? I wanted to show someone and it's balanced to and Epic but I want to put the 5D on it
Chances are the stiffness settings would be too high for the 5d. You would need the app to change that. But if you have a bluetooth device nearby (other than iDevice), load up the software and change it right there.
The App can currently be downloaded and used for Android Tablet with the latest OS(7" inch minimum size), PC, and Mac. The iPhone and iPad app will be available in the near future. Chris
Hi Chris How near is the 'near future' I need to now whether I should be buying an android tablet or not. I dont want to get one only to discover the new app is out in a week. Thanks Bevan
Bevan it will be several more months based on the last information from Denise. Based on that post it would be in 2014.
You need a 7" screen or larger, I was told. I just bought a Samsung Tab 3 (running the Android Jelly Bean release). I've not tested the app. with it. I did test it with a Samsung Note 10.1 and it works fine (but the Note is too big to cart around on location). You will need to tweak settings sometimes on location if you change lens (or zoom to a different length). It's worth taking the time to get the balance spot on. The current wisdom for a zoom like the Canon 24-105 is to balance for 70mm, but I found that if I set it wide to 24, then I would get some oscillations if I picked up the MōVI by the top handle. Hello and good day to all, I just did the update of the firmware of my m10 this morning, but now when it turns on it does not stabilize and the 3 LEDs are flashing, I have reset the bootstrap cable but nothing happens either, alguine knows why it happened This and how to fix it, I'm from Mexico, thank you
Erik: The "bootstrap cable" is intended to force the M10 into accepting a firmware update, so there's no such thing as a "reset the bootstrap cable." The correct use of the bootstrap cable is here: https://freeflysystems.zendesk.com/...-do-I-use-my-jumper-cable-to-recover-my-MōVI- I'd suggest you install the bootstrap cable and re-upgrade the firmware and see if that corrects the problem as the three LEDs flashing suggests that the gimbal controller is having trouble initializing. Hope this helps. Freefly is closed today because it's a national holiday. The instructions moved here. As noted in the article, you will need to submit a request to Support for the cable, as we stopped selling it in the store. Contact Support Here for Jumper Cable Requests
