Hi guys! I m flying a 12 rotor Mikrokopter and I m only getting info for motors 7/8/9/10/11/12 in the Mk-GPX, Im trying to solve a BL-limitation situation and would love to have acces!
Alex The card can only be up to 2gb in size It needs to be formatted in DOS FAT16 format Program to read can be found at http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/MKGPXTool?highlight=(gpxtool)
At one point I was concerned about my 2GB card running out of room. But I've had the same card in my CS8 since the very first flights, and I've never erased anything. At present, I have 394 GPX files (and 394 KML files, too) and my card is less than 10% full. I think the card will last just fine.
Thanks Gary! Slowly pulling through!I dont really have the option of FAT 16..but I reloaded the firmware with the card in and its picking up info, but theres also missing info for half of the motors for some reason..
Alex, The MK GPX Tool has a configuration file (which might as well be programmed in ancient Greek) and the defaults are to typically display info for a Quad (4 motors, 4 BLs...), but you can edit the config file to show graphs for all 8. If you look at the grid view and/or export it to a CSV, then import it to Excel or the like, you can confirm this. Good luck!
You will need to google format DOS Fat16 and do the format using the DOS command system. I don't think FAT16 is an option directly through windows formatting anymore. Information here at http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/NaviCtrl_2.0#en.2BAC8-NaviCtrl_1.1.MicroSD-Card
Ancient Greek is a good example! Just imagine you are talking to one Steve, my PC knowlege is the same as the cats! Dunno what a grid/CSV is all about... If its not to complicated, could you please step the proces, but not in ancient greek please Thanks for your patience guys!
Alex if you are using a Mac then use these instructions to format the card. This will not work on anything larger than a 2gb card. That is a limitation of DOS. Format the SD card Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard from this article. Make sure your disk is named MAKERBOT or substitute your choice of name in the command. Run the Terminal application and type the command diskutil partitionDisk /Volumes/MAKERBOT 1 MBRFormat "MS-DOS FAT16" "MAKERBOT" 1G Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard First run: diskutil list this lets you identify the disk number for your SD card. I get a bunch of stuff, then I find this: /dev/disk2 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: FDisk_partition_scheme *1.0 GB disk2 1: Microsoft Basic Data MAKERBOT 1.0 GB disk2s1 So in the next command I use "disk2" as one of the parameters. Update as needed for whichever is your MakerBot SD Card disk number above. When I run this: diskutil partitionDisk disk2 MBRFormat "MS-DOS FAT16" MAKERBOT 1G I get this result printed to the Terminal window: Started partitioning on disk2 $<3>Unmounting disk $<3>Creating partition map $<3>Waiting for disks to reappear $<3>Formatting disk2s1 as MS-DOS (FAT16) with name MAKERBOT $<3>Finished partitioning on disk2 /dev/disk2 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: FDisk_partition_scheme *1.0 GB disk2 1: DOS_FAT_16 MAKERBOT 1.0 GB disk2s1 diskutil partitionDisk disk2 MBRFormat "MS-DOS FAT16" Disk2 2G
Hi Gary, Im using a normal PC ,HP. I got the card working! But Im missing 6 of the 12 motors... Steve is trying hard to get some info through my bulletproof digital brain department with not much suches hahaha! How can I I make it to show the 12 motors on the GPX files? Thanks again!
Not sure what Steve is referring to. When I open a file in MK GPXTool v1.3.1 it shows the data regardless of the number of motors. Haven't seen anything on an .ini file. Attach your GPX file and let me take a look at it.

Alex can you post the actual GPX file by clicking the Upload a File button? Also I don't think we have too many members on the forum using an X configuration and I've never seen a GPX file from an X. Perhaps the GPX file doesn't record all of the channels. Should be able to tell looking at the actual GPX file.
Have you downloaded the latest version of the MK GPX Tool? I seem to remember they updated the file format in the latest Navi board firmware and you need the latest app to properly read it. And I'm also not sure it'll go past 8 motors.
I see what you mean. The mixer file is for a Hexa Erica and then I aded the missing 6 on the mixer...
Alex you need to download this program. http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/MKGPXTool?highlight=(gpxtool)
