hmmm...just a warning about vibration dampening when using the Tranquilizer and SHORE 60 O-Rings to compensate for the larger remote heads like the MoVI XL, G1, Libra or Jimmy Heads. Full disclosure, Industry Sherpa is one of the the original reseller for Flowcine and introduced the Black Arm to Hollywood back in 2012. I am also an authorized Freefly reseller, and I personally own a MoVI Pro, Ronin 2, MoVI XL and several NEWTON stabilized heads and often work with the Tranquilizer and Tranquilizer XL on a weekly basis. The standard Tranquilizer is designed for smaller remote heads such as the MoVI Pro and Ronin 2. Using stronger SHORE O-rings on a standard Tranquilizer to prevent the "Pancaking" effect caused by the longer back spine of the MoVI XL is a good idea but this method does reduce the overall effectiveness of the Tranquilizer's ability to reduce vibrations and does not perform to the specs set forth by Flowcine. The above chart and list of weight ranges for the various combination of SHORE O-Rings was created by Flowcine while using a MoVI Pro and I can confirm that these weight ranges and combos apply to the Ronin 2. However, different methods must be deployed when using a standard Tranquilizer with the MoVI XL or larger remote head. Notwithstanding the use of a Tranquilizer XL, I've found a combination of Shore 40 and/or 50 O-Rings (Depending on payload weight) combined with Shore 60 O-Rings on the two axis is the best option to prevent "Pancaking" while still obtaining proper vibration absorption. Some of you may have heard of my custom Over-Slung Kit for the Flowcine Tranquilizer which properly configures a stock Tranquilizer to provide vibration isolation for overslung setups (They are used on the set of Mindhunter). In this kit is a set of "T-Inserts" which are uniquely designed for the Tranquilizer, and I've found using these "T-Inserts" with a standard Tranquilizer with a MoVI XL can also prevent "Pancaking" during normal underslung operation. When you can, use a Tranquilizer XL to get the best results or as the Flowcine rep in LA, I suggest using a combination of O-Rings with your standard Tranq to get the best results.
