    Does anyone have a solution?
I am using 5d III on cinestar 3 axis with the canon AV cable to get composite video out to transmit. The problem is I spend all this time making sure I am balanced but I cannot figure out how to take the "spring" out of the cable. It seems that it is always pushing one way or the other. I have searched the internet but cannot find a cable that has only video out or one that would be more flexible. Any ideas?

I cut my cable, and spliced it to light twisted servo wire to a JST connector, which has quite a bit of slack. You can get cheap replacements for that cable on eBay or other places that you can use to experiment with. Figuring out the pinouts is easy, because all you need is the yellow and black wire.

Thanks Steve, you gave me the answer I really needed. If I cut the canon cable there is a yellow and black color coded wire inside for video. I will give that a try until the Teradek Clip is ready.

Hi, Just to for my understanding - what canon cable have you guys cut??
I'm about to setup my 5Dm3 up and have connected a HDMI converter, but none of my monitors can receive the PAL signal... :-(

I’m sure somebody has buzzed out the Canon cable, but I haven’t. But for video you may want something that’s a little higher gauge wire (and shielded). Not sure you’ll get that in a regular mini usb.

I have a related question , it might be ridiculous.
I'm thinking of attaching a Ronin-M gimbal to DJI 1000, then adding 5dm3 to its generic plate, then to have 2 cable connections one to the DJI board and out again to FPV transmitter along with the overlay iosd, and the other connection is HMDI out to the receiver on the land station going to the Live switcher.
The ides is to skip the expensive gimbal with only suites one camera only, and to have a broad range platform ( just to bring the right cables to the relevant camera)
Is this doable? or i'm missing something?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Hamdi:
    Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, this is the Freefly support forum and I suspect your question is more directed towards DJI equipment. You might want to consider posting your question on such forums as: forum.dji.com or rcgroups.com.

That said, if there is a forum member here who knows the answer, the odds are they will tell you.
    Andy.
