I use the Paralinx Tomahawk. We use the optional panel antenna and cloverleaf antennas for maximum range. Its good for further than the Movi remote can ever manage and i'd say it will give you a solid link for at least 1km

Is the panel antenna very directional? Have you tried with clover-leaf antennas on tx and rx?

I've only tried having the cloverleafs on the tx. I don't think Paralinx do an rx set. The panel is a bit directional but as long as its pointing somewhere roughly towards your flight you'll be fine. The range on it is awesome though.
