I'd also like to know this. Are people usually triggering from the WCU unit, or has anyone made an EXT - RS adaptor for the wedge?
I spoke with AerialPixels, they said they'd have one but that was about 2 months ago and I still don't see it. If anyone has a lead on one, please post.
I spoke to FF and they said, that they trigger on the ground before takeoff. Would be nice with a cable for the Wedge
We just made one up that both powers the wedge and does rec/stop out of the ext port Works well but for some reason you have to select RED on the Movi controller not Arri RS
This sounds interesting. How do you mean "powers the wedge"? The wedge gets power from the camera? Anyhow, I'm very curious on that Wedge-compatible start/stop cable to get rid of our Universal trigger we have now...
If you don't mind posting the pinout's and Lemo numbers, I'm sure a lot of people would be very keen to see what you did sam! Cheers, Cam
Sure thing, here you go BTW, all of our Wedge/Movi Controller stuff is for sale as we are upgrading to Klassen wheels and RT Motion. Alexa Mini Ext = FHG.1B.307 7-Pin Right Angle Wedge Power = JGG.0B.302 2-Pin Wedge CAM = JGG.0B.304 6-Pin
Thanks Sam, I'd been looking at these pinouts a while ago and couldn't determine how the R/S functioned on the alexa mini. Did you go Alexa Mini pin 7 -> wedge Pin 4 [and ground -> ground]? or otherwise..?
Just a note, the Alexa Mini's EXT port can only supply 1A max, and it is possible to burn that board out by pulling too much power. For reference, most digital motors pull a constant 1A, and can spike at 3 or 4 amps when friction or speed increases.
Hi everybody. I really need urgent help in this topic. I found a one cable from RT Motion. http://www.rtmotion.com/products/arri-r-s This is the cable. But I don't know about this cable. Does this cable work with wedge? If not, where can I get one cable for wedge? Thanks for all help.
