Just a quick note to let you know that we will have additional accessories and spare parts for the ALTA available soon. As they become available they will be posted in the the store. Be on the lookout shortly for a Futaba controller, ALTA optimized landing gear, batteries and more.
Hi Klaus - Once I have some additional specs/details on it I will definitely post back here for you! I would expect to have more info late next week. Cheers, Denise
SO, I have the M5MR kit, and they have posted the new landing gear setup. I'm told that the M5MR will work, but that this $350 kit is Alta optimized. Any comments/suggestions for laying out the $350? I'd like the broader ground distribution that this offers. http://store.freeflysystems.com/collections/alta-accessories/products/aero-landing-gear -m
I'm using the original MR kit, and it works fine, but I am going to order the new legs. They look great. and are a little more aerodynamic, apparently. Don't know about the broader ground distribution. But if that's the case, it's even better.
I would have expected more information for $ 350.- on this Alta landing gear - height, weight, tube diameter, etc. Freefly - there are still people out there not using a M5, M10 or M15
Freefly are selling these for the MōVI only. They're not designed for any other gimbal. Could they be used on something else? Could be...that's on you.
Any chance FreeFly could offer a version that doesn't include any of the horizontal hardware for those of us that have already purchased the older style of landing gear. An option that included just the down tubes and clamps for around $200 would be greatly appreciated by your loyal customers.
hey Freefly want to post some pics of the new alta landing gear set-up instead in pieces? Give us a better idea of how it looks cheers
Here is a shot of the production Aero Gear. To help explain a bit about this new gear....during ALTA development we learned a lot of tough lessons surrounding achieving optimal footage quality. One of those lessons was that we are able to get better pan stabilization performance with the aero gear then we could with the old gear. Certainly if you have the old gear, it will work fine. But in an effort to always improve footage quality we built the Aero gear and recommend it going forward. I will discuss adding just the machined parts and 15mm tubes with the team. We are pretty buried with ALTA fulfillment so it wont happen right away, but we will look at it. Tabb
What is the diameter - mm ;-) - of the Carbon Landing Gear Tube and the Carbon Pan Tube Extension of the AERO landing gear?
Roger: On behalf of Mr. Freefly, I believe the short answer is: No. Unfortunately, that's the long answer too. Andy
