Does anyone have any suggestions on why I am getting small movements flying a GH4? I've had it working perfectly a couple of weeks ago but on the past half dozen flights I am getting small adjustments in flight. The signal does not appear to be dropping out. I am using Graupner for the Movi. I have tried using autotune. I have tried manual tune. I've rebalanced, checked all the plugs, tightened screws, flown just the camera and no cables attached. Each time I'm getting these small movements. See footage below. Cheers PW:GH4
G'day Ash: You're talking about those slight motions in tilt, right? Given you've checked/tightened everything else, I suspect you may need to email to support@freeflysystems.com. Andy.
The solution was to add some more weight to the camera tray. Adding a MoVI battery and using that to power the downlink has solved the problem. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong that I have to add a a bit of weight to the tray I'd love to know. As I said it was previously working fine without added weight so I'm not sure what I'm doing differently.
Hey Andy, Yeah the footage always gave the feeling that the motors were searching for some tension to push against. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong or not doing. For now I'm just happy to have solid footage. Cheers.
did you find out what it was? i was having that same problem, Im not sure if it is fixed for good and would like to know
Hello, did you figure this out? ive seen the same thing with a gh4 and m10. it doesnt do it all the time but its made me lose complete shots
Ive never had properly smooth footage from light cameras on a Movi. I have tried all sorts of things and weight is definitely your friend here. I think the movement is caused by the downwash of the MR which, as it is not constant ie it buffets, it makes the job of the Movi very difficult indeed. Just me theory and would LOVE to be proven wrong.
